How to use cable lug terminals?

To select the correct size of the cable clamp for steel cable, you must match it with the diameter of the cable you are using. For example, if you are using an uncoated 1/2″ cable, select a 1/2″ steel cable clamp. Make sure the clamp fits properly on the eyelet, without excessive looseness or tightness, providing additional support for the connection of other fastening accessories.

When using cables with vinyl coating, it is recommended to increase the size of the thimble to compensate for the thickness of the coating. For example, if you are using a 5/16″ vinyl-coated cable with a total diameter of 3/8″, you should select a 3/8″ steel cable thimble.
