Safety Tips for Using Hooks and Chains in Load Lifting
Hooks and chains are indispensable tools in load lifting, but their incorrect use can be dangerous. This content presents essential safety practices, such as checking the load capacity (from 1,000 kg to 35 tons), inspecting hooks with locks, and avoiding overload. Perfect for industrial applications, such as in overhead cranes, or use in trailers and trucks.
Our single wire rope slings feature a design with pressed wire ropes, Flemish eyes with thimbles, and are equipped with a master ring. Made with a steel core (IWRC) for greater strength and durability, these slings provide a reliable lifting solution for various applications.
Product Description
O single steel cable assembly (with IWRC steel core) has a 6 x 37(a) + IWRC construction, offering a tensile strength of 1770 MPa. These assemblies are typically equipped with hooks or shackles to form a complete lifting sling. Their production complies with international standards, such as EN 13414-1: 2003, EN 13411-3: 2004, GB/T 16762-2009 e GB/T 14737-2009.
Pressing Process
These slings usually go through a pressing process to form the eye, which involves bending the end of the cable back and securing it to create a safe and reliable connection. The use of ferrules on the eye helps prevent wear, improving the overall performance and strength of the sling. Considerable force is applied to press the ferrules, creating a durable and permanent eye.
Versatile Applications
The eyelets with tips at both ends make these steel cable slings highly versatile, being ideal for various lifting operations. For example, they can be used as guardrails, connected to hooks at each end for secure fastening.
